Tuesday, September 19th

Adam Carolla joins Phil and Judd for a few rants about the Vikings, pine tar, and the NFL returning to Los Angeles along a few other topics.

Phil and Judd start by discussing the Twins loss in New York and the latest on Sam Bradford before Matthew Coller joins to dive deeper into the Vikings and touch a bit on Mikko Koivu's contract extension with the Wild.

The boys kickoff the hour with their NFL pecking order after week two before some talk about Doug Mientkiewicz ripping the Twins. Later, we have Stuff You Should Know About and a visit from Mike Ripley with some insight on Sam Bradford's knee.

Phil and Judd react to some Stefon Diggs audio from Tuesday's Purple Podcast episode. We also debut a new game celebrating the worst QB play in the NFL and Jayson Stark joins for Talkin' Twins.

Tuesday, September 12th

Phil and Judd have plenty of reaction to the Vikings win over New Orleans during the hour, including three segments with Matthew Coller in studio to break it down.

Unfortunately a technical glitch wiped out today's 2nd hour, but we still have a bunch more Vikings talk this hour including a reaction to some words Randy Moss had on Monday. Dan Gladden also joins for Talkin' Twins.

The guys start with some Vikings related Questions of Significant Importance and continue the purple talk throughout the hour, discussing the win over New Orleans and Adrian Peterson drama on the Saints sideline.

Monday, September 11th

Derek Falvey said this Twins team is one of the best "next-man-up mentality" team that he's been around. Was he right to trade players away at the non-waiver deadline? Falvey also addresses Byron Buxton's breakout offensively, Miguel Sano's weight, Paul Molitor's contract status and offered one reason Joe Mauer is having a great season this year.

Phil is back for the full week of State Fair shows. The boys open the show discussing the Vikings (lack of) first team offense and Byron Buxton's (onset of) offense. Kevin Seifert joins this hour to discuss the all important third preseason game for the Vikes.

Harrigan steps up from the producers role for this and next hour live at the fair. Write That Down opens the hour before Judd blasts whoever made the State Fair/Gophers football agreement. Stuff You Should Know About and Judd detailing his plan to fix the roads.

Former Twins closer and three-time all-star Glen Perkins joined the Mackey & Judd show on 1500ESPN on Wednesday morning. The expectation is that he'll be activated this week after three outings in Double-A Chattanooga concluded his rehab regiment.

Chris Long is in for Judd today along with Phil. The guys talk Twins and Gopher hoops in the first half hour. Discuss the reason for Judd missing today's show, and Richard Pitino joins to wrap up the hour.

Thursday, August 10th

Judd is joined by Matthew Coller today, and we all know what that means...FOOTBALL. The guys start out with a little bit of Twins talk and the great start by Bartolo Colon from the previous night. Later on we get into some talk about the first Vikings pre-season game tonight against Buffalo. We round out the hour by going back to some Twins talk and discussing whether the front office sold too quickly.

Judd and Coller start off hour 2 with a conversation with Bills beat reporter Joe Buscaglia about the upcoming preseason game against the Vikings. Later on we get a scoop with Doogie. The hour ends with some breaking news as the Timberwolves unveil their new uniforms.

Hour 3 of Judd and Coller starts out with a talk with Mike Golic Jr. about the upcoming fantasy football event at Mystic Lake. Later on we get some Vikings talk in before rounding out the hour with Roy Smalley and some Talkin' Twins.

Phil and Judd are live in Mankato for the final time with Chip Scoggins joining them for the hour and an interview with PJ Fleck along with some Vikings talk.

The guys start with some talk about Laquon Treadwell and the 'science' of drafting players in football and other sports before some Stuff You Should Know About.

Judd has a conspiracy theory about Anthony Barr and the Vikings claiming Barr wasn't trying hard enough last season. We also have plenty of MLB trade talk as the deadline is only a few hours away.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst joins Mackey & Judd (at the 12:55 mark) on 1500ESPN to discuss a possible Timberwolves trade involving Kyrie Irving. Could it actually get done? What would it take? Minnesota would need to include Andrew Wiggins, Windhorst said. He also some questions from around the league about Wiggins and why Wiggins isn't a better defender despite his physical skill set. Windhorst also said "I cant believe Thibs doesnt want Kyrie. Because Thibs wants to win tomorrow. Thibs wants to be great today. And Thibs probably thinks he can help Kyrie defensively."

Afterward, Butler called in to Mackey & Judd on 1500ESPN to explain that it was not a staged bit, and also to talk about the Timberwolves and Karl-Anthony Towns.
