MINNEAPOLIS -- Aaron Hicks left Thursday night's game with concussion-like symptoms after crashing into the centerfield wall.
Hicks chased Scott Van Slyke's hard-hit ball to the wall in the sixth inning but could not make the catch. Hicks was slow to get up, and manager Ron Gardenhire went with a team trainer to check on Hicks.
He stayed in the game briefly, but Jason Kubel pinch-hit for Hicks in the seventh inning.
The Twins announced Hicks was removed for "precautionary reasons."
