MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will play against the Carolina Panthers as he was not on the team's inactives list.
Newly added quarterback Josh Freeman will be inactive for his first game in purple, leaving once-starting quarterback Christian Ponder to backup now-starting quarterback Matt Cassel. Safety Mistral Raymond is inactive for the fourth time in five games this season with safety Jamarca Sanford returning from a hamstring injury.
Linebacker Audie Cole is inactive for the first time this season. He was not on the injury report all week and is deactivated in favor for rookie linebacker Michael Mauti, who was on punt and punt return teams during practice this week.
Kicker Blair Walsh was listed as questionable with a hamstring pull in his plant leg. He's suited up and clearing from 40-plus yards in warmups and should be playing.
Linebacker Desmond Bishop is listed as the starting WLB, marking the first time since the 2011 season he will start in the NFL since tearing a tendon in his hamstring before the 2012 season.
