Alexi Casilla's return from the disabled list lasted all of seven innings.
The second baseman re-aggravated his right hamstring trying to beat out a bunt in the seventh inning of Friday night's 3-2 loss to the Cleveland Indians.
Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire told reporters Saturday that Casilla will head back to Minneapolis to be checked out. Trevor Plouffe was recalled from Triple-A Rochester to take his place.
Gardenhire also mentioned to reporters that the team is keeping a close eye on the waiver wire for potential middle infield options.
