Minnesota Gophers junior guards Andre Hollins and DeAndre Mathieu were both named to the All-Big Ten honorable mention list when the conference's regular season awards were unveiled on Monday.

Hollins earned an honorable mention nod by both the media and head coaches, while the media voted Mathieu in.

Hollins, who made the All-Big Ten third team last season, has been the Gophers' leading scorer this year. His 14.6 points per game rank 12th overall in the conference.

Mathieu made a strong impression in his first season with Richard Pitino's Gophers after transferring from Central Arizona College. He is second on the team in scoring with 11.9 points per game and ranks fourth in the Big Ten in assists (4.4 apg).

The Gophers head to Indianapolis later in the week in hopes of salvaging their NCAA Tournament hopes with a solid showing in the Big Ten tourney. Holding the seventh seed, Minnesota opens up against No. 10-seed Penn State on Thursday (5:30 p.m. CT).
