EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- For the fourth consecutive week, Antoine Winfield's status remains up in the air entering the weekend.
The Minnesota Vikings' veteran cornerback was on the field during the sliver of practice reporters were allowed to watch on Friday morning. But he was mostly a spectator as teammates went through group drills and was listed as questionable on the injury report for Sunday's game at Carolina.
"He wasn't too bad (Friday)," coach Leslie Frazier said of Winfield, who hasn't played since straining his neck while making a tackle on Oct. 2.
"He felt OK -- not to the point that he said, 'Coach, I'm definitely ready to go.' So, we'll see how he goes (Saturday)."
Winfield said earlier this week his injury was more than a strain, but MRIs have come back clean.
"Medically, he's pretty much been cleared," Frazier said. "It's just, does he have the feel for being able to go out in contact the way you have to contact?"
Receiver Percy Harvin (rib) pronounced himself OK to play but was listed as questionable. So was halfback Lorenzo Booker, who didn't practice for a second consecutive day because of concussion-like symptoms and still was undergoing tests, Frazier said.
As expected, right guard Anthony Herrera (knee) was ruled out.
Tight end Visanthe Shiancoe (foot) returned to practice and was listed as probable, along with halfback Adrian Peterson (ankle), nose tackle Remi Ayodele (ankle), linebacker E.J. Henderson (knee), end Brian Robison (shoulder), safety Husain Abdullah (concussion), Jamarca Sanford (concussion), center John Sullivan (concussion) and end Jared Allen, who attended meetings on Friday morning but missed practice again to be with his wife after the birth of their baby girl.
Carolina added quarterback Cam Newton (illness) to the injury report, but he's listed as probable and expected to play.
Linebacker Omar Gaither (knee) also is probable. Cornerback Jordan Pugh (head) is doubtful. Cornerback Darius Butler (not injury related) is questionable.
