With Nicklas Backstrom still dealing with a strained knee, the Wild have again recalled Darcy Kuemper from AHL Iowa.

Josh Harding is scheduled to start in net Monday night against the Sabres in Buffalo. Kuemper will be the backup Monday.

The Wild also have a game Tuesday night in Toronto. So unless head coach Mike Yeo plans to start Harding on back-to-back nights, some have speculated that Kuemper could draw the start Tuesday.

He made three starts last season and appeared in six games. He played in two preseason games for the Wild this year. Kuemper was in goal Sunday night as the Iowa Wild lost 4-2 to Oklahoma City.

Backstrom has not played since he strained his knee Oct. 8 in a collision with Nashville's forward Eric Nystrom
