Scott Baker, sidelined since September 2 with elbow tendinitis, threw a bullpen session on Wednesday, and according to the Pioneer Press the right-hander will not be inserted into the starting rotation when healthy.

Instead, manager Ron Gardenhire said Baker will join the bullpen, and the Twins will continue to roll with a starting rotation of Francisco Liriano, Carl Pavano, Brian Duensing, Nick Blackburn and Kevin Slowey.

Of course, things could change if one of those five pitchers struggles or goes down with an injury.
