MINNEAPOLIS -- To make room for Josh Willingham, who is set to return from three-day paternity leave, the Minnesota Twins optioned Ben Revere back to Triple-A Rochester.
Revere was called up on Tuesday and is hitting .278/.316/.333 after reaching base twice in five plate appearances Friday night.
Willingham left the team to be with his wife, who gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday.
