Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire is wasting no time throwing his two newest September call-ups into the fire.

Joe Benson was penciled in as the center fielder and leadoff hitter for Tuesday night's game against the Chicago White Sox, with Chris Parmelee batting fifth and playing first base.

Benson and Parmelee were both added to the 40-man roster and called up from Double-A New Britain on Monday evening.
