Don't be alarmed. The Minnesota Twins are in the process of some fall cleaning.
Per Joe Christensen of the Star Tribune, Nick Blackburn underwent arthroscopic elbow surgery last Wednesday to clean out a bone spur and other loose particles.
Blackburn told the Star Tribune, "I've been dealing with it over the last couple years. I think most pitchers in baseball have some stuff they're dealing with. We just decided to get it taken care of now.
"They just poked a couple holes in there and cleaned that stuff out. I've already got the same range of motion that I had before the surgery."
Scott Baker is also expected to have a similar procedure on his throwing elbow this Wednesday. Baker battled elbow tendinitis in July and September this season.
According to the Star Tribune article, Joe Mauer is also expected to have another MRI on his left knee -- for precautionary reasons.
As for Michael Cuddyer, who had knee surgery last week, he said on Sunday that he expects to be running again within six weeks.
