Chris Cook sends some Tweets after talk with Zimmer, sets countdown

It may not be hard to read between the lines on this one. 

Pending free agent Chris Cook sent a series of Tweets after talking with first-year Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer -- and it appears he's been informed he won't receive a new contract before free agency opens on March 11.

Cook, 27, has appeared in 34 games for the Vikings since he was selected in the second round (34th overall) of the 2010 draft. Cook hasn't grabbed an interception in the games he's played and has missed 30 contests due to injury or legal troubles. He allowed a team-high nine touchdown passes in a secondary that allowed a league-high 37 passing scores in the NFL last season, per
