Adrian Peterson was a limited participant in practice Thursday in London, according to the Vikings injury report. But fret not, Vikings fans, because under the injury reason, the team simply lists "coach's decision."

Peterson was not on the injury report Wednesday and is on track to start Sunday.

More concerning for the Vikings: cornerback Chris Cook once again did not participate in practice Thursday with a groin injury. The thin Vikings secondary could have used the boost from a healthy Cook, but at this point, it's unlikely he'll play Sunday. Friday's injury report will have players' statuses, so it seems that's when we'll find out if Cook will play.

Two positives in the secondary, though, cornerback A.J. Jefferson (ankle) and safety Jamarca Sanford (hamstring) were upgraded to limited participants. Neither player practiced Wednesday, according to the team's report.

And of course, the one player every Vikings fan is wondering about, Christian Ponder was once again a limited participant with a rib injury. Media members locally appear resigned to the fact that Matt Cassel will start and the team will use Ponder's rib injury as an excuse to bench him without the fanfare of pulling a starter after three games.

We'll likely find out that decision Friday, so let's just wait until we hear something on Ponder's condition to etch that in stone.
