MINNEAPOLIS -- Starting quarterback Christian Ponder has been taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a possible concussion, the team announced. His return to Sunday's game is questionable.

The Vikings ran one offensive play in the first half after Ponder left the game, a run up the middle. Matt Cassel was in at quarterback for that play, and presumable would take over in the second half if Ponder can not return.

Josh Freeman is inactive today, so wide receiver Joe Webb likely would be the backup in the event Ponder does not return.
