UPDATE (12:42 p.m.): The Vikings on Tuesday waived recently-signed Chase Ford and re-signed Justin Trattou, a defensive end.
Could that move foreshadow a trade of defensive end Jared Allen? It could be a coincidence, but the timing may raise eyebrows.
UPDATE (12:10 p.m.): From former 1500ESPN.com senior editor Tom Pelissero:
I'm told Jared Allen is willing to redo his deal for the right situation. Three hours left to trade deadline. Stay tuned.— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) October 29, 2013
If it wasn't clear already, Jared wants out. And given where #Vikings stand and what they'd save, I imagine they want him out, too.— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) October 29, 2013
UPDATE (12:00 p.m.): NFL insider, Adam Schefter, weighed in that the Seattle Seahawks are making a late push to grab Allen.

Believe it or not, the NFL trade deadline (3 p.m. Tuesday) has gotten a little confounding.
A report Tuesday morning from NFL Insider Ian Rapoport said the Vikings had no plans to trade Jared Allen. Rapoport did not cite a source in his tweet, but is well-connected around the league.
Shortly thereafter, Jay Glazer tweeted that the Vikings are looking to move Allen.
Vikings are certainly open to fielding offers today for Jared Allen. Have had a few talks w teams but nothing substantial yet— Jay Glazer (@JayGlazer) October 29, 2013
That appears to conflict with what Rapoport had reported earlier, which an astute tweeter pointed out. Glazer responded that the Vikings "are ABSOLUTELY listening."
The capslock was Glazer's, not mine.
With the deadline a mere hours away, it still appears unlikely they'll get a deal done, especially given how expensive Jared Allen's contract is.
In fact, Vikes are doing more than just listening. Still a long shot to get trade done tho bc of his contract— Jay Glazer (@JayGlazer) October 29, 2013
