The Wolves eyed two major free agent targets last week -- Rudy Gay and David Lee. They wind up with neither.
The Warriors and Knicks have agreed to a sign-and-trade deal that sends Lee out West for $80 million over six years. In return, according to CSNBayArea.com, the Knicks acquire Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf and Kelenna Azubuike.
The Wolves were originally rumored to be in the mix for a potential three-way deal with the Warriors and Knicks.
Gay cancelled a meeting in Minneapolis to re-sign with the Memphis Grizzlies for the maximum, five-year, $84 million contract.
It remains to be seen what the Wolves will do next. With big-name free agents latching onto teams this week, the trade market for Al Jefferson may become more clear.
The Wolves have also reportedly shopped Jonny Flynn, as well as kicked the tires on free agent point guard Luke Ridnour.
