Defenseman Jared Spurgeon will return to the lineup Tuesday for Wild

The Wild still are not at full strength. They'll take a step in that direction Tuesday night, though, as defenseman Jared Spurgeon laces up for Minnesota's home game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Spurgeon has missed 14 games since he was hurt blocking a shot Jan. 2.

The Wild activated the defenseman from Injured Reserve in time for the game. He likely will instantly be inserted as a top-four defenseman.

For a stretch, the team was without Spurgeon, Zach Parise, Mikko Koivu and Josh Harding.

Harding and Koivu still are on the shelf. Koivu's ability to skate for Team Finland in the Sochi Olympics is very questionable at this point.
