The injuries never end.
Minnesota Twins left fielder Delmon Young was placed on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with a sprained right ankle he sustained after awkwardly colliding with the left field wall.
The Twins recalled outfielder Rene Tosoni from Triple-A Rochester to take Young's roster spot.
The incident occurred in the fifth inning when a Yuniesky Betancourt flyball drove Young back to the warning track. Young, who initially broke in on the ball, backtracked and caught his right foot on the underside of the scoreboard, twisting his leg and banging his knee.
Center fielder Ben Revere ran over to retrieve the ball, which grazed off Young's glove, but Betancourt came around to score on an inside-the-park homerun while Young writhed in pain on the warning track.
X-rays came back negative, but it's likely Young will receive an MRI when the team returns home on Monday.
