The Minnesota Twins announced Friday they have outrighted right-hander Deolis Guerra and assigned him to Triple-A Rochester.
Guerra, the last remaining piece of the Johan Santana trade, will be invited to major league camp this spring.
The 23-year-old Guerra posted a 4.11 ERA with 71 strikeouts and 22 walks in 70 innings as a reliever between Double-A and Triple-A last season.
The Twins' 40-man roster now sits at 37.
It's possible the Twins are clearing space for next week's winter meetings in Nashville.
