Despite all the movement at Minnesota Vikings quarterback this season, they'll go into Week 9 at the Dallas Cowboys with their original pecking order at the 1-2.

Quarterback Christian Ponder will start, with quarterback Matt Cassel serving as the backup with Josh Freeman inactive for the third time in four games.

Cornerback Chris Cook (hip), safety Jamarca Sanford (groin), tight end Rhett Ellison (ankle), defensive tackle Fred Evans (knee) and running back Matt Asiata (personal) are among other inactives.

Freeman, a $2 million midseason addition, and rookie guard Jeff Baca are the only healthy, available scratches for Sunday.

Safeties Andrew Sendejo and Mistral Raymond will start at safety, with either cornerback Marcus Sherels, Xavier Rhodes, A.J. Jefferson or Shaun Prater serving alongside Josh Robinson as base cornerbacks.

Receiver Rodney Smith and Prater will be active for the first time this season.

The Cowboys have four starters inactive in linebacker DeMarcus Ware, receiver Miles Austin, cornerback Morris Claiborne and safety J.J. Wilcox.

Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray will return to the starting lineup after missing two games from a knee injury.
