After being swept in Madison, the Gophers hockey program slipped to No. 2 in the USCHO poll after holding the top spot since Dec. 16.

The Gophers (19-4-5, 8-2-2 Big Ten) dropped their first pair of Big Ten games last week in 2-1 losses on both Thursday and Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The Gophers had been unbeaten in regulation since November prior to Thursday's loss in the series open with the Badgers.

Boston College (21-4-3, 13-1-1 Hockey East) took over the No. 1 spot as the Eagles have not lost since November.

The Gophers host Michigan (14-7-3, 6-3-1 Big Ten) at Mariucci Arena on Friday.
