The University of Minnesota men's hockey team had its rhythm broken over the weekend.
The No. 1 Gophers coasted to an easy victory Friday, then had Saturday's scheduled game moved to Sunday to accommodate the Gophers-Badgers football game. Playing in an unusual time slot Sunday afternoon, the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs smoked the Gophers, 6-2.
The No. 19 Bulldogs jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first period and never looked back.
The loss ended a 10-game home unbeaten streak for Minnesota (9-2-1).
