Minnesota Wild left winger Guillaume Latendresse will be sidelined indefinitely because of a concussion suffered during a 3-1 loss on Thursday night in San Jose, according to the Star Tribune.
Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher confirmed the information to the newspaper on Friday in an e-mail. Latendresse will be out at least a week but it could be longer.
Latendresse reported to training camp last season out of shape and played in only 11 games, getting three goals and three assists. He ended up needing surgery to repair a sports hernia and a torn labrum in his hip.
This year the veteran came to camp in much better condition. He has four goals and four assists in 14 games. Latendresse has spent time on the Wild's top line and had a goal in three consecutive games before going scoreless on Thursday.
