EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings secondary could be down two more starters for Sunday's game at the Dallas Cowboys.

Coach Leslie Frazier ruled out cornerback Chris Cook (hip) and safety Jamarca Sanford (groin) for Wednesday's practice and didn't sound too confident in their availability for Sunday.

"With defensive backs, when you have muscle issues it's always a concern so I'm hoping because we need them," Frazier said. "I'm hoping that they'll get through this. But with muscles and defensive backs or receivers, it's always a concern.''

Sanford played into just the second quarter before leaving, while Cook made his exit in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers. Safety Mistral Raymond filled in at safety and cornerback Marcus Sherels entered the slot, kicking cornerback Josh Robinson out to Cook's spot in the fourth quarter.

The Vikings are already down safety Harrison Smith, who was placed on injured reserve-to return earlier in the month and has missed two games. The defense has not recorded a turnover since placing Smith on IR.

The Cowboys' 18 passing touchdowns are third in the NFL behind the Denver Broncos (29) and New Orleans Saints (19).

Frazier added tight end Rhett Ellison (knee) and running back Matt Asiata (personal) will miss Wednesday's practice as well.
