It should be no surprise, but the Wolves made the signing of free agent center Ronny Turiaf official on Thursday.

After reports had already filtered out, Flip Saunders confirmed last week that a deal with Turiaf was in the final stages of being completed. Turiaf has been out of the country, contributing to the weeklong delay in making his signing official.

Brought in to provide another option at center and inject a proven veteran presence into the locker room, Turiaf joins the Wolves on a two-year, $3.2 million deal.

"Ronny is a physical, aggressive defender and a good passer," Saunders said in a release. "He's a solid pro who will help us with his experience and veteran leadership."

Turiaf, an eight-year NBA veteran, has been on five other teams since the Los Angeles Lakers drafted him out of Gonzaga in 2005. He spent a brief stint with Miami in 2012 during the Heat's run to the NBA Championship before signing on with the Clippers last season.
