MINNEAPOLIS -- Gov. Mark Dayton and Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen are among those rallying residents ahead of a Minnesota House vote on a new stadium agreement.

Hundreds showed up at a Mall of America rally Saturday. Dayton told them he wants the team to always be the Minnesota Vikings, never the Los Angeles Vikings or Tucson Vikings.

State Sen. Julie Rosen says fans should call their legislators and tell them to support the agreement Monday. Allen directed fans to the Vikings website for instructions on contacting lawmakers.

The nearly $1 billion plan includes $427 million from the team, $150 million from Minneapolis and $398 million from the state. Critics call the deal bad for taxpayers.
