Jerome Felton got a $2 million signing bonus on the three-year, $7.5 million contract he signed with the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday.
According to an NFL source, the Pro Bowl fullback has an $850,000 base salary -- $500,000 of it fully guaranteed -- and $150,000 workout bonus in 2013 for a maximum first-year take of $3 million.
The rest of the money is tied up in base salaries of $1.95 million in 2014 and $2.45 million in 2015, plus $50,000 workout bonuses each year.
In other words, it could end up being a one-year, $3 million deal for Felton -- although considering the way he played last season, that seems unlikely.
Felton's cap number for 2013 calculates to $1,666,666.
