Josh Harding will be placed on Injured Reserve adjust his treatment protocol. He's expected to miss three games, according to general manager Chuck Fletcher.
"Over the next week, Josh will make a minor adjustment to his treatment protocol," Fletcher said in a press release announcing the move. "Josh feels great and he looks forward to rejoining our team for our game in Winnipeg on Dec. 27."
In a corresponding roster move, the Wild also recalled Johan Gustafsson from the Iowa Wild (American Hockey League).
Harding leads the NHL with a 1.51 goals-against average and is in the early conversation for the Vezina Trophy. He's in second place with a .939 save percentage and is tied for first with three shutouts.
Considering how bad the Wild have been on the road, losing one the NHL's top goalies is not a good start to the four-game road trip.
