Josh Willingham will return to the Minnesota Twins lineup.
The veteran left fielder returned from his rehab stint and has been reinstated from the 15-day disabled list. The Twins placed catcher Ryan Doumit on the seven-day disabled list because of a concussion. That move is retroactive to Aug. 8.
Doumit is believed to have suffered the injury last Sunday when he took a foul tip off the mask while catching against Houston.
Willingham appeared in three rehab games for Triple-A Rochester, going 1-for-9 (.111) with one home run and two walks. Originally placed on the 15-day disabled list July 2, he missed the Twins' last 33 games after having surgery July 3 to repair a medial meniscus tear in his left knee.
