This time, it seems Justin Morneau's back only has cost him a couple of days.

The Minnesota Twins' first baseman is in the lineup for tonight's series opener at Cleveland, three nights after leaving a game at Detroit with a stiff back.

A back injury cost Morneau the end of last season, so the speedy return is a positive sign the latest is just a minor setback.

Catcher Joe Mauer and shortstop J.J. Hardy (turf toe) also are back after sitting out Thursday's loss.

Also via the Star Tribune's Joe Christensen: center fielder Denard Span has been fined but won't be suspended by Major League Baseball for his bat-throwing incident on Tuesday.
