The comeback will officially come full circle in Toronto on Friday.
Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire told reporters on Thursday that first baseman Justin Morneau will be in the starting lineup against the Blue Jays on Friday.
Morneau suffered a concussion after taking a knee to the head in Toronto on July 7 last season -- a blow that sidelined for the rest of the year.
Morneau said he was "pretty unsure how it was going to react" upon arriving to Florida -- referring to his concussion symptoms -- but after re-entering the lineup for the first time on March 8 during a "B" game in Fort Myers, the first baseman played regularly for the final three weeks of spring training.
As for returning to action in Toronto, of all places, Morneau said, "Yeah, I've thought about that. It's kind of funny, but it is what it is. It'll be nice to get back there right away and play. I'm going to answer the same questions there that I am here."
