The NBA didn't take well to David Kahn's candor about Michael Beasley's past drug use.

According to The Associated Press, the league has fined the Minnesota Timberwolves' president of basketball operations $50,000 and the team another $50,000 for what it called inappropriate comments.

Kahn told 1500 ESPN Twin Cities on Thursday that Beasley -- the former No. 2 overall draft pick acquired in a trade with Miami this month -- was "a very young and immature kid who smoked too much marijuana" while with the Heat.
