Kevin Love may still be feeling the after effects of a cringe-worthy fall three days ago, but the All-Star forward was back in the Minnesota Timberwolves' lineup Friday night in New Orleans.
The thud of Love hitting the ground in the fourth quarter Tuesday against the Lakers could be heard from the other side of the arena. Love was driving towards the basket when he ran into Robert Sacre and was sent flailing to the ground, his head whipping back against the hardwood.
Love sat out Wednesday at Oklahoma City due to lingering soreness in his neck.
Love told the Star Tribune's Jerry Zgoda at shootaround Friday morning he was still feeling "very stiff, very sore" but would be able to play against the Pelicans.
Brewer did not travel with the team to Oklahoma City. He stayed back in Minnesota to be with his newborn son. Brewer missed shootaround, but rejoined the team in time to make his return to the starting lineup.
