Kevin Love not only shaved, but he also got a little candid in the latest issue of GQ magazine.
As part of a before and after photo shoot, GQ sat down with Love last month to get his take on where he is at in his NBA career.
Inevitably, the question arose of what the All-Star forward plans to do when his contract with the Timberwolves expires in 2015. His answer may give the Wolves' fanbase at least some form of hope.
"Now that he looks like a leading man-and with free agency looming as an option at the end of next season, and the Wolves not exactly killing it on the court-everyone assumes that his next big move is to Los Angeles. He's dating actress Cody Horn, a California girl, and his Beach Boy uncle, Mike, co-wrote "California Girls." So fess up, Kev: You're gone, right?"
"People think it's so far-fetched that I would stay in Minnesota," he says. "And I'm not shitting on the Lakers, but we have the better team, the better foundation. I'm having fun."
As always, take it for what it's worth.
Love and the Wolves have an enormous task in front of them if they are to have any hopes of ending a nine-year playoff drought this season. As they resume the season Wednesday against Indiana, the Wolves hold a 25-28 record and are currently six games back from a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
