Current Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has a legendary track record of having his teams well-prepared coming off bye weeks.

In 14 seasons as captain of the Philadelphia Eagles, Reid's teams were 13-1 in games following bye weeks. Following Thursday night games, Reid's Eagles teams were 4-1.

If you give Andy Reid extra time to prepare, it's very likely his team will beat you (although that track record will face a major test in a few weeks when the Chiefs, after their bye, play the Broncos).

Apparently Reid's meticulous preparation didn't rub off on Leslie Frazier, who was Reid's defensive backs coach from 1999 to 2002 in Philadelphia.

In three seasons as Vikings head coach, Frazier is 0-3 coming off bye weeks, and that's not the end of it...

In those games, Frazier's Vikings teams have been blown off the field 45-7 (at Green Bay, 2011), 28-10 (at Chicago, 2012) and 35-10 (yesterday).

That adds up to a 108-27 scoring margin after bye weeks. And in those games, the Vikings have allowed opponents 22 more first downs, 334 total rushing yards, and an average of 19 first half points.

And how many first half points have the Vikings scored over the past three years coming off byes?

Six. Total.

Rag on the Vikings' lack of talent, sure. But to be blown out of the stadium three times after bye weeks? That reeks of bad coaching.
