Reliever Michael Tonkin was a late addition to the Twins Opening Day roster. When Brian Duensing hit the paternity list, the Twins brought up Tonkin from Triple-A Rochester. He pitched a scoreless 10th inning Wednesday, displaying mid-90s fastballs.

Well, that didn't last long.

Duensing, who was away to be with his wife, Lisa, for the birth of their son, Boston Matthew, has returned.

The Twins announced lefty Duensing has been re-instated to the 25-man roster. To make room, they've optioned Tonkin back to Rochester.
