Mikko Koivu faces a four-month recovery following upcoming shoulder and knee surgeries.

The Minnesota Wild said on Thursday its leading scorer will undergo arthoscopic surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Rehabilitation will take 14 to 16 weeks. Koivu also will have his right knee scoped, with rehab set for three to four weeks.

Those timelines should have Koivu ready for training camp. He'll undergo both surgeries and do his rehabilitation in his native Finland.

Also, defenseman Cam Barker had his right ankle scoped on Tuesday to remove loose particles, the team said. His rehabilitation will be three to four weeks.
