Mo Walker, a redshirt junior center who has lost nearly 50 pounds since last season, has been suspended for the first six games of the season, the University announced in a press release.
Walker had 17 points and 13 rebounds in the team's exhibition opener against Concordia-St. Paul on Nov. 4. Ellenson, a forward, averaged just 14 minutes in both exhibitions this month.
The Gophers will open their non-conference schedule with a shorter bench against Lehigh on Friday night at Williams Arena. The Mountain Hawks are best known for defeating 2-seed Duke as a 15-seed in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament.
