FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Minnesota Twins have 16 games remaining on the spring training schedule, which may not seem like many.

But 16 games is an eternity for players still looking to solidify roster spots, and for players still looking to find their timing at the plate or feel for certain pitches.

Health report

• Plouffe is still day-to-day with a strained hamstring. He will be re-evaluated when the Twins return to work on Wednesday.

• RHP Scott Baker (elbow tendonitis) is scheduled to pitch in a minor league game on Thursday. From there, he will ramp up his pitch count in an effort to be ready for his scheduled start in April 9's home opener.

• Dumatrait is day-to-day with a tender left shoulder.
