One national power ranking has the Vikings rated as low as 28th in NFL

On Tuesday, columnist Phil Mackey noted that national pundits seem lower on the Vikings season outlook than the local media and fans. Wednesday, Pro Football Focus added their hat to the arena.

The site, which is football-centric and stat-heavy, published its preseason power rankings, which averaged power rankings from eight analysts.

One expert rated the Vikings as low as 28th. The highest rating received was 12th. (That analyst, however, also rated the Packers as his top team entering the season.)

The consensus ranking was 19th, behind the Packers (No. 4) and Bears (14).

I'm afraid to ask what more Adrian Peterson can do. Truly seems nothing is impossible, even with a passing game that is at best a question mark heading into the season.
