Just as the Minnesota Timberwolves were returning to full health, one main cog left Monday's game at the Chicago Bulls with a right Achilles injury, according to the Fox Sports North broadcast.

Center Nikola Pekovic hit one of two free throws and grabbed a rebound before he left after six minutes into the first quarter. Reserve center Ronny Turiaf has replaced Pekovic in the lineup.

Pekovic has played all 43 games for the Wolves this season and leads the team with 4.2 offensive rebounds per game and is third with 18.4 points per game.
