EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Percy Harvin returned to practice on Friday, one day after the Minnesota Vikings' leading receiver was absent because of a family issue.

Coach Leslie Frazier said on Thursday there was a chance Harvin would have to return home to Virginia. That apparently didn't happen.

"Percy was back, so that was good," Frazier said after practice.

The only player absent from Friday's practice was halfback Adrian Peterson, who sat out as a precaution while he continues to nurse a sore ankle.

Frazier said Peterson was a little sore on Wednesday, so the team decided it was best to let him get home extra rest and rehabilitation.

"He knows everything we've got in the game plan," Frazier said. "He's pretty sharp on the things we were doing on Wednesday and Thursday and even Monday. So, he should be fine."

Tight end John Carlson (concussion) sat out again and was ruled out Sunday's game at Seattle. Safety Mistral Raymond (ankle) is questionable (50% chance of playing).

Everyone else on the Vikings' injury report was listed as probable: Peterson, Harvin (hamstring), cornerback Antoine Winfield (knee), nose tackles Fred Evans (knee) and Letroy Guion (ribs), linebacker Erin Henderson (elbow), punter Chris Kluwe (left knee) and quarterback Christian Ponder (knee).
