The Minnesota Vikings can breathe a sigh of relief, at least for now.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin tweeted Tuesday night that his hip injury will require surgery. It's unknown how long Harvin will be out, but it was widely speculated that surgery would sideline him for a significant portion of the season.
"When everything is goin good sometimes life throw u a curve ball... sorry to half to report that my injury will require surgery," Harvin tweeted. "Nobody was more anxious and excited about season then (me)....but I will be back strong as ever..i appreciate all the love and prayers."
The Vikings traded Harvin to Seattle in the offseason for multiple draft picks and used the extra money, in part, to sign wide receiver Greg Jennings.
