Rachel Banham scores 24 as Gophers win first home conference game

MINNEAPOLIS -- Rachel Banham poured in 24 points and Micaëlla Riché added 20 to pace the Gophers women's basketball team in an 83-74 victory over Ohio State on Thursday night at Williams Arena.

Sari Noga had a team-high nine rebounds for the "U" (13-4, 2-1 Big Ten Conference), which outrebounded the Buckeyes (10-6, 0-3) by a 44-29 margin in its home conference opener.

The Gophers scored 29 points off 17 Ohio State turnovers.
