Watching Ray Edwards win his professional boxing debut apparently didn't deter Larry Butler.
After making own victorious debut on the undercard of Edwards' first bout May 20, Butler has signed on to fight the Minnesota Vikings defensive end in a four-round bout on June 24 at Grand Casino Hinckley.
Edwards -- who beat 5-foot-9, 222-pound T.J. Gibson in four rounds by decision last month -- won't have nearly the same size advantage this time.
According to fight promoter Justin Seurer, Butler is the same height as Edwards (6-foot-5). Last month, Butler weighed in at 216 pounds -- more than 40 pounds less than Edwards (258.5) -- a day before defeating Van Goodman by technical knockout.
Butler's fight featured a lot more action than Edwards', not to mentionma lot more blood. The Hayward, Wis., resident opened a huge cut over Goodman's left eye that forced a physician to stop the bout.
Tickets for the bout will range from $30 to $100. Weigh-ins will be held on June 23 at Hinckley.
