The Chicago Bears won't have middle linebacker Brian Urlacher on Sunday when they face the Minnesota Vikings at the Metrodome.
Urlacher, 34, is expected to miss the next three games and possibly the rest of the regular season because of a Grade 2 hamstring strain, two sources familiar with his injury status told the Chicago Tribune on Tuesday.
Urlacher, who has been selected to the Pro Bowl eight times, could return for the regular-season finale on Dec. 30 against Detroit.
He injured his right hamstring on the second-to-last play of the Bears' 23-17 overtime loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.
Nick Roach replaced Urlacher at middle linebacker and Geno Hayes moved into Roach's spot at strong-side linebacker. If Roach starts in the middle Sunday, it will be his fourth career start at that position.
