Liam Hendriks' time with the Twins appears to be done. The Chicago Cubs claimed the right-handed pitcher off waivers Friday, according to CSN Chicago.

Hendriks was designated for release or assignment last week when the Twins added Phil Hughes to the 40-man roster.

Hendriks, 24, was originally signed out of Australia as a non-drafted free agent in 2007. In his Major League career, Hendriks went 2-13 with a 6.06 ERA in 156 innings. He averaged 5.77 strikeouts and 2.65 walks per nine innings.
