UPDATE (4:40 P.M.): Allen hasn't signed with Seattle as yet, but reportedly received an offer and will consider it this weekend, according to Ed Werder.

Fox Sports 1 reporter Mike Garafolo tweeted that Allen will return to Arizona to consider  his options. Allen may also have other offers to consider, according to his agent, Ken Harris, through Garafolo.

Jared Allen apparently won't retire. The door has been closed for a while that he'd return to the Vikings, but now the defensive end will land with the Seahawks, according to ESPN's Ed Werder.

Allen could sign as early as today, Werder tweeted.

As Andrew Krammer noted recently, it felt like an empty threat that Allen would consider retiring if he wasn't offered what he felt was fair compensation.

ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted that they've reached an agreement.

We'll update with any terms of the contract once more specifics are known.
