Even before Rick Adelman announced his retired from coaching, names of potential successors were rumored.

Wolves reporter Nate Sandell wrote a speculative piece about 5 coaches who may be considered.

Sandell included Michigan State's Tom Izzo and Iowa State's Fred Hoiberg.

Now, it appears another big-name college coach has been added to the discussion: Bill Donovan.

ESPN's Marc Stein tweeted Monday that Donovan interests the Wolves and "has emerged as a new target."

Saunders, wanting to avoid an absolute timeline, said it's no guarantee the team will have its head coach in place by the NBA Draft. That would be surprising, but it's a clue that this could potentially be a lengthy search. Saunders also said Monday some candidates the Wolves will consider may be on coaching staffs currently working in the NBA playoffs.

Wolves fans, who is your dream candidate for the next Wolves head coach?
