Report: Gophers football assistants get sizable raise

The Gophers football coordinators will get six-figure raises in their new three-year contracts, according to Joe Christensen of the Star Tribune.
Accordig to Christensen's reporting, Gophers defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys received a raise from $346,800 to $600,000. Offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover will go from $341,800 annually to $550,000, according to the report.
For Claeys, that's a 73 percent raise; For Limegrover, it's a 61 percent raise.
When Jerry Kill signed his second contract extension, it included language that required his assistants will rank in the top-six in the Big Ten in salary.
The Gophers went 4-4 in the Big Ten in 2013, and the season culminated in an embarrassing loss to Syracuse in the Texas Bowl.
